Boutique

The St. Marks neighborhood is home to a surprising number of boutique clothing shops. In many, you will meet the owner, the designer, and the maker all right there, friendly and more than willing to help you find and tailor just the right piece.

!Enz's!

Lots of black
Ladies clothing, jewelry, and accessories.

"Punk Rock and Diane Von Furstenberg inspired designs."

The picture doesn't do this store justice. Sure, it's small, but it's really nice inside. Be sure to check out the picture of the owner with a Tina Turner 'do behind the counter.  (2007-03-03)

AuH2O, Recycled Clothing Store

Cheerful
All handmade, one of a kind, environmentally and socially conscious women's clothing. The owner can tailor clothes in the store and does additional business in 'conversions' (for example: "Could you turn this T-Shirt into a halter top?").

"Street, contemporary, urban, hipster, and made with love."

Love the metro-card dress.

Classy
Hats and clothing hand-made on the premises. Fedoras, bridal, jewelry, dresses (but mostly hats). The designs are classy, with a 1920/30's vintage feeling.  (2007-03-03)
