Kim's Video (also has CDs)

This is Kim's "Flagship store" - Kim's is a small chain in New York. It's a strange place. The first floor has a pretty great collection of CD's (including many european, alternative, and modern art music CDs), the second floor has video sales and the third is for for video rentals. The organization of the rentals is way confusing - it may be hard to find a particular video if that's what you're looking for. Sometimes the videos are organized by decade, sometimes be genre, and sometimes by director. So maybe it's best to go without a specific goal in mind and just browse.

But having said all that, it's a pretty wonderful, quirky store full of strange, non-traditional selections (as well as most of the traditional stuff).  (2006-01-07)
