2003 Syrah Wahluke Slope - tasted twice now, and both time it was fantastic and became even more fantastic over a couple of hours. Dense, rich, explosive, with a fantasticly perfumed nose of gardenia and plums. "only" $30, don't age - just drink it now. (2005-12-16)

2000 Merlot - somewhat rare, fine merlot with olivey musty-oak nose, a bit of bright cassis and some cocoa on a warm lush earthy mid-palate. Good acid and balance. However, "it's just a merlot." Would have liked more complexity or razzle-dazzle at this price. Excellent at half the price. (2005-12-16)
